Below are some of the questions we get asked on a regular basis. If you would like to know ask us a question, please use our contact form

Q

Do you do orthodontics?

A

Though I have no additional qualification in orthodontics, I have been on various courses and worked for 2 years for 1 session a week as a clinical assistant in orthodontics. I am confident to carry out both removable and functional, as well as fixed. I am able to see patients almost immediately.

Q

Do you do cosmetic dentistry and bleaching?

A

I have always taken an extra interest in cosmetics and have a lot of experience in crown and bridge as well as veneers. I am happy to take time to discuss using patient models, what can be achieved to improve a smile. Nearly always something can be done. I also provide bleaching.

Q

Why go Private?

A

Though the majority of my patients are seen under the NHS and are provided with an excellent service, private dentistry provides more options, better quality of laboratory work and less time to wait for appointments.

Q

Is it expensive?

A

I encourage my patients to compare my private fees, but I am very confident there are very competitive and very much so compared with many parts of the country.

Q Do you keep up to date with new techniques and materials?
A

The General Dental Council insists that we do 50 hours of continuing professional development each year, which may involve going on courses (not golf!) and reading journals.
